**Textar 230 DOT 3 mixes safely with other brake and clutch fluids conforming to the above specifications.

The Textar 230 DOT 3 is a synthetic brake and clutch fluid based on Glycol ethers and Polyglycols. together with an inhibitor package. DOT 3 fluids are an older technology and in Europe have been mostly replaced by DOT 4 types although they continue to be mainstream in many parts of the world –particularly the USA and Japan. Although the most basic of the Textar brake fluid range. this product maintains the company’s usual high technical standards and provide good value for money.

It is a feature of Textar products that they are tested to standards beyond what would be normal. In this case the minimum boiling point of this product (230°C / 446°F) greatly exceeds the required DOT 3 minimum which is 205°C. Storage and Handling

This product is hygroscopic ??it will absorb water from the atmosphere; always ensure containers are tightly closed. Not compatible with mineral oil or petroleum based materials; any contamination may cause serious damage to the brake system. Product will strip paint –avoid contact with paint or lacquer. Store in original container in a clean and dry location.
Product is of low toxicity but has an irritant effect on the eye. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Observe normal good hygiene practices when handling this product.
